traveling with an 11 month old

When I first flew to California from New Jersey I was  pretty confident about flying with Sophia. She was only 3 months old and I figured she would sleep most of the flight. Which was exactly what she did. Now at 11 months, I was kind of freaking out. I was worried she would be crying, loud and restless like other kiddos I have seen. I did some research and most moms suggested bringing toys and such but Sophia gets easily bored with them. I was so relieved that she did so great on both flights to and from. Some people even mentioned that they had no clue there was a baby on board. She slept half the flight and was awake for the other half. She only cried once when she woke up from her nap only because she was hungry.  Here's what I used for the trip.
1. One of Sophia's favorite snacks. I love how it's not messy at all. 2. Although Sophia hardly eats baby food she still likes these pouch ones. Their small enough to take on the plane and easy for her to just suck out of. 3. I took 6 pouches, enough to make 3, 8oz bottles and only ended up using 2. You're allowed to fill your bottles with water you just have to let security know and they check the water with some machine to make sure everything is good.  4. Sippy cup because she LOVES water.

5. Portable DVD player, very light and easy to pack. 6. I couldn't find baby headphones so I got ones similar to these and they worked fine. 7. Sophia's favorite DVD. She loves little einsteins
8. Baby ergo, that I purchased a week before the trip. It's life changing (haha) I can't believe I waited so long to get it. It makes things so much easier instead of pushing a big ol stroller around. 9. This little stroller was purchased in California, I didn't want to carry Sophia the entire time I was out there so this was perfect.  This one is light and small and was easy to haul around after going through security.
