craft room-redecorating on a budget

Aug 25, 2015

So we have a small walk in closet downstairs (which I call my Harry Potter room) haha. And it was in desperate need of some TLC. It was my throw anything in there closet/sewing room area. I spent all day yesterday cleaning, decluttering and reorganizing and I can finally walk in there again. This little project cost me only $10 which was for a vintage desk I happened to buy yesterday. Everything else I used to decorate was scattered through out the closet. I painted a couple of things and that was it. It looks 100 times better than what it used to look like.

Use stacks of books, dried flowers, small empty glass bottles to decorate the table.
Paint an old little suitcase and lay magazines inside.
Fill mason jars with anything fun.
Add a candle to make your area feel nice and cozy.
Paint is your best friend! It always gives new life to something old or plain.
Upcycle curbside items. I'm always on the look out for anything free. If you have space to store it, grab it and use it for any future projects.
